Avatr, a subsidiary of Changan, has announced the launch of the 07L, a 5-seat electric SUV, at an event in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on August 8. The model enters China's competitive 250,000-to-300,000-yuan electric SUV segment, targeting family buyers competing against rivals like the Xiaomi YU7. Pricing starts at 249,900 yuan for the Max+ battery electric version and reaches 279,900 yuan for the Ultra tri-motor variant, featuring Huawei's advanced Qiankun ADS 5 system and a 896-channel roof-mounted LiDAR sensor — the highest-spec LiDAR currently available in mass-produced vehicles. Pre-sales began on July 17.
